If you haven’t traveled in Latin America, you are missing an amazing experience and a great opportunity to make some money. Americans are brainwashed by the US media about how dangerous it is outside the border. I’ve been to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. I’m always surprised by how safe and nice these countries are. Economic growth is off the charts. The US economy peaked in the 1970s and has been on a downhill slide ever since.
Panama City is the New York City of Latin America, except everything is new, people are polite, speak perfect English, and everything is half price. I presented at the Swiss Mining Institute conference in Panama last week, and was blown away by the small urban oasis. It’s a beautiful place shaped by Venezuelan, Colombian, Brazilian and US influences.
I played golf at Santa Maria, a luxury resort, at the conference with a gringo ex-pat Brian Kelly. Brian is a personal friend of Manuel Bally who organized the conference. He grew up in New York City and worked at Stan’s, the famous bar that sits just outside Yankee stadium. He was only in his 20s at the time and was responsible beyond his years. Brian and the owner of Stan’s opened a nightclub on Sint Maarten which he managed then owned until hurricane Omar took it out in 2008.

Brian left for Panama in 2010, managed the upscale Manrey Hotel for a few years before joining the real estate firm named Punta Pacifica Realty. Now a partner and the Vice President of the company, the firm sells and rents over 30 properties per month, has about 60 employees and is one of the top real estate and property management firms in the country. He married a girl from Budapest, Hungary. She owns the top salon in Panama called Szabo. They have a son who was born in St Martin and raised in Panama. His son, now 19, is on a soccer scholarship at Rutgers after attending the famous IMG Academy in Florida.
Panama has a US dollar-based economy, except everything is half price. Medical care and dental is dirt cheap and top quality. You can buy luxury investment condos for $300K and receive permanent residency as well for your purchase. You can hire a full time maid for $1K per month. There is zero tax on foreign income, and no inheritance tax. Think big picture.
Latin Americans love Trump who has “cojones,” because he’s taking out ruthless dictators, and opening up countries to US investment. These small countries have never seen economic growth like this before Trump, and they are celebrating.
If you are thinking about Panama for investment properties or a place to retire, I’m telling you: do it!
Panama is only 1,000 miles from Miami and just a short 2-hour flight.
Make a weekend trip down there and check it out. You will be blown away. Call Brian. He would love to help you plan your trip as well as the entire process: Banking, taxes, real estate, investment property management you name it.
Let me share this as well. Brian and I don’t have any referral arrangement. It’s simple and 100% independent. Just like the Miners I recommend. I met Brian, I like Brian and I trust Brian. Panama real estate is an opportunity where you can live your best life, make some money, and protect your wealth for your family.
